šŸ“ ā ⭐⭐⭐ OL, Olaus Alinen (6'6", 315lbs) commits to Alabama

Okay so I read that he's from Finland. Not actually a Viking (Norse and Swedes). But he could be nicknamed the White Death. That's the name for the Finnish Sniper that killed more than 500 Russians in the Winter War. Pretty cool.

Another intriguing/different prospect! He's huge & moves well! The question would be how quickly he can adjust to the level of competition... But the physical tools are obviously there. He's going to be 6'7 320+ if the staff wants... Not too many of those guys out there with that kind of mobility. RTR

I guess ultimately it's the biggest question for any recruit.... But I would assume HS football in NOLA is played at a higher level than in Connecticut.

On the big fella's highlight tape, those bodies on the DL look like good competition for some Junior high teams in Birmingham!

Newman is the lowest classification and a private school. Metchie played ball in Connecticut.

I assume @TerryP was referring to Arch being a "big fish in a very small pond" classification. Some have even said that Arch would only be rated a 3* if not for the last name. Compare the competition that our QB commit Holstein plays against in LA to Arch. Those top tier schools in the Northeast do some traveling I believe in order to play same level of competition.

Makes sense!
