🏈 GAME THREAD ⭐ Ole Miss vs Alabama ~ CBS TV @ 2:30

I have to admit I did not believe it was possible to shut Ole Miss out in a half. After that first drive the defense has settled down and played like a Bama defense. They still have trouble with tackling but they are flying to the ball, disrupting plays, and anticipating what the offense is doing. Drew Sanders is having an incredible game. He deserves a game ball.

Welp.

I must admit that this is the first game I've actually watched all season thus far. Between extra work hours and weekend warrior projects at home, I haven't had a ton of TV time on Saturdays. Been listening to Eli and JP whilst working.

I had a couple of service calls Thursday in Oxford, and of course, I wore my Bama hat. Some playful ribbing, but for the most part, very classy folks running the property that we manage IT for. There was, coincidentally, a single Bama fan there that heard me talking to the rest of the staff and busted out of her office with her Bama shirt on. Funny exchange as I exclaimed "I KNEW I felt a little Bama love somewhere in this building!".

All in all, good fun. I was very complimentary of Kiffin, because we all know how much of a thorn in our side he's been as an opposing coach. And, he did special things with our offense here when he was on our staff.

I told the guys at this property that I would indeed be watching this game because it was a big game, what with the Kiffin wild card and all. Should be a good game, I said. I foresaw it being close for 3.25 quarters before a couple of key drives would put us out of reach in the last 10 minutes of the contest.

Boy, has our squad exceeded my expectations.

All this said, it's been fun, fellas.

Up 28-0 at the half?

I'm headed back to covering myself in sawdust with my FM tuner on my phone dialed into 95.3.

Roll Tide.
