These sports science things are just getting dumb. Here's the science of it: Kicker makes sure the ball goes 10 yards in the air, somebody recovers it.

Actually riz, it was a genius play because it was not just an onside kick .. it was a pre-calculated exploitation of a specific Clemson ST weakness (how they lined up to receive). They had prepared for a specific situation in the way Clemson lined up.
