About time, right? States need to do this right though... Weed still over taxed here and leaving some space for dealers to stay in business. Don't get greedy and this could be a big deal for a lot of states

I have a coworker from France. Studied in the U.S. for a semester, met an American man, fell in love, gave up her citizenship to be here with him. Nowadays she is really regretting that choice .. and he wishes he'd have just bit the bullet and moved to France with her instead of staying here.

All SCOTUS did was to remove the Federal prohibition and leave the matter to the individual states. If Alabama won't even approve a lottery, what makes anybody think that its population would support sports betting? Gambling is gambling, right? Nor does Alabama have an existing legalized gambling industry, as does, for example, Mississippi. Finally, there's the likelihood (likely in my mind, at least) that Coach Saban would vigorously oppose the legalization of college football betting in the state. Note that this is the position of the NCAA as well.

Agreed. I was on a flight to Germany and I sat next to a young lady in her 20's from Germany. We were chatting and I asked her what people in Europe thought about us. She said most thought we should mind our our business and stay out of most world affairs. I told her when you are in trouble we save the day. The expression on her face was priceless.

Funny....so many are quick to criticize....but even quicker to ask for help....
The turmoil that the US goes through without the the other parts...is proof of the stability of the system....

Add a state like Utah to the list of one that won't legalize right off the bat--if they ever do.

However, people who live in Bama will be able to bet online soon. I'm looking forward to the possibilities.

Welll.... @Birdman37 isnt gay marriage already legal.supreme court....weed....well ...probably be awhile in Al for that...nfl team......long blew that by Benny Marshall bAck in late 60s..early 70s....when we could have had Patriots....
