Just don't see the love for Ole Pi$$ there at #7. Think there will be some crashing back to Earth this season. I honestly think LSwho is getting that love at #12 based on Fournette on offense and the new DC Arande? that came from Wisconsin. I think Florida will surprise people IF McElwain has found him a QB not named Treon Harris.

del Rio appears to be the QB of UF's future.

Agreed. Ole Miss lost their best lineman, best receiver, best linebacker, and arguably their best defensive lineman, yet they are at #7? They haven't proven they can rebuild. They had one tremendous class of athletes and have yet to play a season without that group. They had a couple of decent runs in recruiting the last couple of years, I guess we'll just have to see if that translates to on the field performance.

LSU returns 18 starters. Will go 11-1, losing only to Bama. If not Bama, then Arkansas the following week. Will not beat both.

SEC revision needed IMO:

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Oklahoma
4. Ohio State
5. Baylor
6. Florida State
7. LSU
8. Michigan
9. Stanford
10. Notre Dame
11. Michigan State
12. Tennessee
13. Arkansas

14. Houston
15. USC
16. Oklahoma State
17. Iowa
18. North Carolina
19. Oregon
20. Georgia
21. Washingon
22. Louisville
23. Florida
24. Ole Miss
25. TCU

Dropped Texas, added Florida

Ole Miss will do well to go 7-5. 8-4 at best.

While I enjoy the admiration to put Alabama at #1 (or any previous national champ at #1 in the subsequent year), I don't see how. The logic of "they're #1 until somebody beats them" doesn't take into account the player losses, coaching losses or the improvement of other teams. Being #1 at the beginning of the season puts a target on their back that everyone wants to hit and will celebrate if they lose. I'd be more comfortable somewhere in the top 10.

Yep and Clemson gave us every bit of hell they could muster, they return almost everyone on offense, lose a few up front on D, no more than Bama does. I would just be happy if they reversed Bama and Clemson.

But the people they lost accounted for most of the stats. They lost their best corner, their entire defensive line, and their best receivers if I'm not mistaken. They have more holes to fill than we do. On the other hand, they do have the best quarterback in the country.
