@DanWolken I guess if you're Texas you can’t say the biggest drawbacks to Saban & Fisher were “unwillingness to take the job.”

Why hey are you guys so obsessed with this? All along while the Texas Admin was looking for a new Head Coach, many of you guys just wanted to suppress any and all rumor regarding Saban and the Horns. Yet, now that it's apparent that you gt o keep your coach, it's become ok to rub it in Texas' face that Saban is staying at Alabama.

Saban is a good coach, and quite frankly he's one of best. Texas did not get Saban, but we did get who we wanted.

Maybe because you came in here and tried to convince us that he would take the Texas job? Sorry if I'm coming off a bit assholish, but if you're coming into a 'Bama forum and spread a bunch of b.s about how Texas has all the resources, money, and recruits in the world and how great they are and how Saban to Texas is an "almost done deal!", how can you not expect someone to joke around with what you said when it all didn't end up coming true?

And please OldTimer enlighten me on how it is that you guys "got the one we wanted" when Charlie Strong was the ONE name we never heard you or the other Tejas fans talking about? We heard every damn name in the book thrown out there EXCEPT Strong yet now hes the man for the job and always was? GTFO

Hey. That's not nice. Have some class. I never dropped any F bombs on you or told anyone to GTFO. I would expect the same minimum level of decency and respect. You might not like my opinions, but you've crossed way beyond the line of common decency to me.

You picked a bad time to come here and run into a guy like Bird. If you'd have been here a year before you first registered you wouldn't have taken his comment in the manner in which you did.

If he told me to GTFO I'd laugh and remind him what an ass he can be.

Anyone that calls Bird decent...got some 'splainin to do.
