Has Bama lost the advantage of speed on the field on both sides of the ball?

I do not think it is speed. I think it is being physical at the line of scrimmage especially on offense. Also undiscpilined penaties.

True, watching UK play the gators and they mix it up running out of the I with QB under center and they are owning the LOS.

I thought for sure the runner coming from the outside had the angle to make the tackle.......but he did not.

I think the biggest spot where we need some speed is at WR. Someone to take the top off the defense. I was hoping Tyler Harrell would be that guy. I hope that Jo Jo can be that guy when he comes back. We really need someone out there to keep the safeties back.

Sadly I can't quote it for you but I think it was an article on al.com that quoted NFL scouts not being impressed with the speed that Alabama put on the field?

So obviously that concerns me, especially when it truly did seem that we did not try to beat them deep and could not seem to get separation. And certainly, while he is a premier receiver, we couldn't keep up with their #8 very well.

The WR corp will get a burst of speed when Harrell is ready to go.

Think back to 2017. Jeudy, Ruggs & Smitty weren’t starting in the 1st couple of games. I still have faith that this freshmen group will get it done.
