🏀 Southern Illinois grad transfer Bola Olaniyan told ESPN he will transfer to Alabama

Graduate transfer big man Bola Olaniyan has committed to Alabama....

The 6-foot-7 center from Southern Illinois chose the Tide after officially visiting Tuscaloosa on Thursday...

First-year Tide assistant John Pelphrey is Olaniyan’s primary recruiter.

A native of Nigeria, Olaniyan averaged 7.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game on his way to being named to the MVC Conference Most Improved Team last season. The Salukis finished the year 22-10, notching victories over Air Force, Northern Iowa and Oakland.

Olanyian played his senior year of high school basketball at Richmond (Ind.) after transferring from Mount Zion Christian Academy (N.C.).

Olaniyan will be immediately eligible for the 2016-17 season.
