šŸˆ Sources: Longhorns kick four more off team

One of the comments at the end of the article:

Coach Strong is exactly what we have needed since Coach Royal left in 1976. We may be a bit thin at a few positions this season ,but we will win at least 9 games. And Coach Strong is setting us up to win National Championships starting in 2-3 years...He is the reincarnate of General George S Patton. The Longhorn Nation loves what he is doing. The Aggies can have Coach Swag...We'll take Coach Strong! Hook em' Horns!

Blank stare...

UGA:

31 reported discipline issues in last four years. Over that same period,

24 arrests, four of which were domestic violence.

11 dismissals.

Too soon to judge o whether Strong is just the dose of discipline that Texas needs. I certainly did not get the feeling when he was at 'Ville that he was a strong disciplinarian, but I did not follow them that closely. Obvious that things were pretty lax for several years under Mack. As we all know, Georgia and CMR have the rep that they do because the suspensions and dismissals are an annual occurrence. Lack of discipline, or else some really bad recruiting mistakes.

.....

Jump back a bit to the video that went viral of the lady at the Sugar Bowl jumping over a row towards one of the OU fans in the stands. I know you remember that.

I've always wondered what was said that set her off. I'm not implying that makes her actions justified, but I can't help but suspect it would provide context.

Some may think I'm looking for an excuse for her actions. That's not the case. When I see things like the following tweet I believe it's a valid question.

Yesterday on College Football Live, Rod Gilmore was praising Strong on taking the action he has while pointing to domestic violence as something that needs addressing in collegiate athletics. What he was saying is very true; there needs to be something done. Do we need a rule change where a player that's involved in situations like this suspended for a year? Perhaps. But that's another thread.

The one thing I want to point out here, and it's something they didn't touch on in that segment, is player evaluations.

Both Gilmore and McMurphy were talking about how coaching staffs need to weed these types of players out of college ball. BUT, as far as I've seen, no one has mentioned how ridiculous the rule is that's keeping head coaches off the recruiting trail during spring evaluation periods.

Reports have described Mixon as "being flaky" and having a hard time adjusting to college life. Would that be something they could have discovered if they were allowed to evaluate him to a greater degree in the spring?
