Prayers for the Georgia Family!
The sister of Georgia outside linebacker's coach Kevin Sherrer, Rasha Sherrer, has been identified as one of two victims in a Locust Fork, Ala. double homicide. The cause of death has yet to be determined but her body along with that of a man identified as Gary "Sambo" Hazelrig were found on Tuesday. Blount County Sheriff Lloyd Arrington state that the two had been dead for for at least 24 hours.
Georgia Head Coach Mark Richt was asked about his assistant on the SEC Conference call on Wednesday where he stated that Sherrer has all the time he needs to attend to family matters.
"He (Sherrer) and his wife are not here today. They're with family today and tomorrow probably. We expect Kevin to come back tomorrow. But what ever he needs to do to help and just be there for his family, we want him to do that" Richt said. "There's no time limit on it. I told Kevin, 'whatever you've got to do and whenever you come back, you come back.' We'll handle things here. There's a lot more important things in life than football."
