🏈 Something weird is going on in Auburn.

Marshall posts this article today. It's premium content, but you can see by the headline something is amiss.

In the article he said they haven't practiced in five days and only twice in the last ten days. Marshall says he has no idea what's going on. Rumors are C-19, some saying they're protesting, and Marshall says he's heard a lot of different things but doens't know what true or not.

Evidently there's a press conference tonight.

Very few programs right now have the stability that Alabama does in all aspects. Saban is rarely ever caught off guard by anything and is usually way out in front of stuff before anyone else (like with the COVID and social justice stuff). It's not just the way he's programed, but the system he's built. The football complex is surrounded with professional voices that he trusts as well as the player leadership council that has is ear. People say that Saban isn't always an off the field mentor and counselor to every player 24/7/365, and if he's compared to others like Dabo, that's true. But, the system he has in place is a web of guidance and leadership that is much more effective in most every way. Saban usually gets the credit he deserves for what he does on the field, but I think few realize and appreciate just how brilliant the man is with the way he keeps the program maintained like a well oiled machine, off of it.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, it shouldn't be a surprise that programs are having some pretty major locker room flare ups right now with all that's going on. We just take for granted that under Saban, we don't see such in Tuscaloosa.

Saban outta win Coach of the Year if he can keep his team together. We haven't seen the issues at Florida State, the gossip from TCU, canceling of practices due to the virus like the Big Ten and Pac-12, the demands like at Mississippi State, the blowback from a t-shirt like at Oklahoma State, and the negative recruiting over coaches like at Clemson. Coach Saban has kept his team focused, spent time understanding his players enough to where they still follow him in the most talented locker room in the country. Like the one article said posted on this site a week or so ago, this year's National Champion will have been the best coaching job in the history of the sport.

Saban is the GOAT. He has had well respected minority leaders speak to the team. They are able to dispel the crazy that other programs will be susceptible to. I suspect people like Herm Edwards, Condalezza Rice and yes even Charles Barkley told the team there is right and more effective way to have an impact on social issues. They do not seem to be going off half cocked but speaking with some focused intent with a calm level head and as one team. I am sure those speakers told them to not let this split the team above all else.

Oh and something is always going on that is weird down at the Barn.

Don't suspect, it's already happened; weeks ago. He's had speakers from "both sides of the aisle" talk to the players about this climate including local law enforcement officers.

To further emphasize a great point here, Brandon.

In April of 2018 he had the team with him visiting the White House with POTUS. Some of these same guys will be there today in this 'march.'

Think about that for a minute.

Auburn is a mess of Covid right now. What am I saying, Auburn is just a mess overall.
This is NOT the situation down there with the football team. Don't buy into what they are saying. Even with 19 positive tests a team can continue to practice. They are using the pandemic as a cover for racial unrest in the locker room. One rumor I've heard is Gus refused to allow team members organize a march/protest. I can't confirm or deny that. I can when it comes to the rest of this story. I've had too many people, unassociated with each other yet all associated with Auburn tell me where this is coming from.

OU had one position group "decimated" with positive tests (Riley didn't mention what group.) Yet, they continued to practice. Last week LSU had all but four of their offensive line test positive. Yet, they continued practice.

I can't really blame their administration from trying to hide what's going on. It's not a good look for the school, the program, their administration, and more specifically their head coach.

The barn better get their shit together if they are gonna put that double digit beat down on us in November :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Seriously, I want us to run those fucks out of the stadium this season. I'm still pissed that our D fucked around and let lil acne boy look like Joe Montana against us last year
