Tua pass it to Smith who fumble it, and Ruggs pick it up and fall into the end zone scoring? Why isn't this a fumble recover? Ruggs is credit with a 12 yard pass from Tua?
1st10:01UA - Henry Ruggs III 12 yd pass from Tua Tagovailoa (Joseph Bulovas kick ) 2 plays, 55 yards, TOP 0:50140

I asked about this in the game thread... the way it was scored benefits Tua for sure, but it seems to me it should be a single pass to Irv for the yards to the point of his fumble. Then a fumble recovery from Ruggs. A rush stat for Ruggs showing as 1 carry for the amount of yards he got from the point of the recovery to the end zone and a rushing td. Odd that it is 2 completions, 1 pass attempt. Really doesn't make sense to me.

Ruggs get a 12 yards for this fumble/pass.

Stats and football rarely make logical sense. I've been keeping stats myself for 4 years now and I still struggle figuring out yardage on a holding penalty. No two people will ever log that the same.

New NCAA rule, when a pass play results in a fumble that the offense recovers (not sure if it must result in a TD) the recovery is treated as another pass completion (Ruggs gets 12 yd TD reception and not a fumble recovered for a TD)
Strange, but... ok with me

It's not recorded as two passes though, is it?
