Sour grapes?? Even though texas being ranked #3 makes no difference by years end.....let the 'BAMA and SEC hating continue.
boy, they obviously didn't watch the ole miss game. Sure, we squandered some red zone opportunities, but that seemed like a pretty dominating performance to me.

Found these gems on hornfans.com

Alabama is so great. Lets look at their greatness against Ole Miss.
Alabama started 5 drives in Ole Miss territory and scored 0 touchdowns.
Drive 1: started on Miss 26 after an interception, went nowhere, kicked a field goal.
Drive 2: started on Miss 5 after a blocked punt, 3 and out, settled for a field goal.
Drive 3: started on Miss 40 after a muffed punt, included a 1st and Goal on the Miss 3, settled for a field goal.
Drive 4: started on Miss 16 after interception, resulted in 0 points.
Drive 5: started on Miss 22 after interception, resulted in a field goal.

Alabama also had 1 60 yard TD drive and 1 58 yard field goal drive early in the game. Mississippi had 5 turnovers and bama could score only 1 TD all game.

Complete team my a$$.

On a side note Alabama was considered one of the best teams right before they played Utah in the Sugar Bowl last season. How did that work out for them?

Well many people look at this early victories in the SEC as "big wins". But as we continue to watch and see overrated teams like Ole Miss fall down then those early wins don't look as sexy.

Florida struggled a couple of weeks ago against Tenn but nobody cares. They beat what many consider an overrated LSU team only by 10 points. Granted it was on the road. Alabama only beat Ole Miss (now not even ranked) by 18 points. They also only beat Kentucky by 18 points. So they haven't exactly looked dominant against 2 teams that won't finish the season ranked and will likely have 4-5 losses on the season each. But Texas only beats Colorado by 24 points and we get voted down. Even our 14 point win against Tech wasn't considered very good in the eyes of many voters.

I just think this is SEC bias at its best.

got five turnovers. Near the red zone they elected to go for Field Goals from the 25, 21, 22, 25 and 21 yard lines. That tells me they did not feel they could make a first down that close to the red zone. Outside of those efforts, they managed only one touchdown on offense, a 36-yard run.

You cannot tell me that was a stellar effort by Alabama. They had the ball almost 40 minutes to Ole Miss 20 minutes They got five turnovers. And near the red zone were forced into five field goals.

Meanwhile, Texas got caught up in a hornet's nest effort from Colorado early in the game, and while it looked like the Horns were not putting this team away, they literally strangled them.

Last night Texas won "ugly" by not necessarily looking like OU during November of last year; they looked more like an SEC team. Like OU did last year, Alabama is getting the beauty pagent points, and the AP writers are listening to others who keep saying, "right now Alabama appears to be the most complete team."

This makes absolutely no sense to me.

Florida struggled a couple of weeks ago against Tenn but nobody cares. "Alabama beat Ole Miss (now not even ranked...) They also beat UK."

OK, I can see where he **might** be going here.

Until.

"Texas only beats Colorado by 24 and we are dropped"...Who has NEVER been ranked this season.

The, "our 14 point win against Tech..." a team with 18 points in week 3 (four voters put them in the top 25, around 60 didn't rank them at all)

I give up..

Not to mention that most reports I've seen say that Colorado wasn't good enough to compete in high school, much less college, and the fact that they trailed them for a lot of the first half. And of course Ole Miss isn't ranked (now) after we dominated them like we did, but we never trailed them AT ALL. Texas has no offense against those pitiful Big 12 defenses, and they're looking down on our struggle against a top defense? Come on!

This TX debate will simmer down when they lose to a 2 loss OU this weekend. TX is lacking on defense and they are a one trick (Colt to #8) pony on offense.

Last year Texas was a better football team. So was Texas Tech. Ole Miss might still get 8-9 wins this year just like last. What does all this mean?

Texas Tech beat Texas last year in a "no defense" arena game. Ole Miss stuffed Texas Tech!

Have a nice day Texas. Oh, and ROLL TIDE!!!!

Personally...I like Texas as a team...good players..good kids...Im a big fan of both McCoy and Shipley. I dont put any stock into what some azzhat fan of another team says..trying to put down another team with distorted reasoning. We have our share of those too. Texas is not the team they were last year, but are still a very dangerous and capable team with a solid coach and QB. They should beat OK as long as they dont do something totally stupid.

I would say that I want Texas to lose to Oklahoma..

But how lovely would it be if they were to go undefeated and to meet Bama in the national championship?

We would have the chance to take out Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators, and then we could take out Texas, whom we have never beaten (0-9-1)

There are no 2 teams I'd rather play to end the season.

If that happens, then what? How does VT wind up. Not trying to stir the pot, just curious ...

I'd guess they'd rise to three. But I don't know what happens with the combo of Texas, Boise, and USC from there, assuming the latter two win. Texas are just one of those teams who're really hard to project, because they haven't played anyone. I could see an argument for leaving them at 3... I could see one for dropping them to 8.

I don't see a Bama-VT champ game happening under any circumstances, though... the voters hate rematches, so would put a one-loss SC or unbeaten Boise in ahead of the Hokies if the Tide win out.
