The Beatles was before my time (they broke up the year I was born), but I do enjoy some of their songs. And I never really cared for Lennon's solo music. But I won't deny The Beatles', or Lennon's and McCartney's, influence on music. I was 10 when he was killed, but I don't remember anything about it. My mom was never a fan of The Beatles, so their music was never played in our house.

I was at Fort Irwin, High Mojave Desert, California, about 37 miles northeast of Barstow. Playing Army.

Raul Malo passed away a few days ago from colon cancer. He was born in Miami 60 years ago to Cuban parents.
He is, was well known for his comedic wit but more so for his velvety singing voice. One of my favorite voices.
