I know, OT. :lance:

Dropping this here for those who may not have been paying close attention to our ladies.

If you are so inclined, get up early Sunday morning and catch your early service of choice. Our game is set for the first pitch to be thrown a tad after noon. ESPN will have live coverage.

Who we play hasn't been determined as of yet, but this is set. A win, and we play again starting Monday evening in a best of three series for the National Championship. Hell, I've looked at the bracket the NCAA puts out...makes no sense to me.

Here's a side note of importance for you sports fans.

If you follow baseball, you know how deadly it is to have a closer that throws 96-101mph. Virtually un-hittable.

Jackie Traina, true frosh, just had her fourth save of the season yesterday. She closed out the seventh with her pitches being clocked from 70mph to as high as 74mph. Considering the difference in baseball and softball in terms of the distance from the mound to the plate that 74mph pitch from Jackie is equivalent to a 104mph fastball in baseball. (As a FWIW, we signed a girl from Anderson, SC (Leslie Jury) that's been clocked 70+mph this summer and all the coaches can say "she has a lot of potential in front of her still...")

Oh, did I say she's a true frosh? She can actually hit as well though she's been in a bit of a slump lately.

It would be great to see Coach Murphy finally bring one home...

yeah I don't understand Florida and Baylor switching Brackets. it is odd. J-Train gave up her first hit of the postseason against Baylor last night. over 11 innings pitched without giving up a hit.
