With the portal open (through June 17th), there will be a good bit of movement soon as it pertains to Bama. The Tide has already landed one player (C/OF Alexis Pupillo), but several others are needed... We will track them along with any other team news in this thread...

This is becoming a theme with this team

KB Sides: after her transfer she was sec player of the year

Skylar Wallace: (arguably one of the best overall players in softball), and oh yeah sec player of the year after her transfer and sitting a year.

Kenleigh Cahalan: Best all around player on BAMA’s roster…

Not to mention several “starters over the last couple years…

This day in age, there are going to be head scratching departures in every sport... people within the program were expecting this one so it didn't catch anyone off guard. Also probably worth mentioning here... her father is a hitting (and catching) coach for the B'ham Thunderbolts...

Not Bama, but worth mentioning... auburn makes their softball hire hires. On the surface, this seems a little odd... co-head coaches? They supposedly whiffed on some sitting head coaches, including Ok State's, Kenny Gajewski. Maybe the hubby and wife duo will do well... but with the amount of time they had to make this hire, it feels kinda flat. @Tidexc1... your thoughts?

I just can't see ever hiring a married couple to do a job like that. Would take pretty special people to not let personal affect business and vice versa.

Just thinking out loud here while watching OU put away the Longhorns for the title... I'd be a happy camper if Murphy could somehow land UW transfer SS Rylee Holtorf to replace Cahalan...
