Recapping both games...
UA beat St. Thomas 2-0. A 2 run HR by Pupillo in the 1st was all that UA needed. Briski was sharp in the circle. She went 7 innings, did finally walk her first (2) batters of the season, but also collected 14 K's while allowing just 2 hits. Briski is off the hard pitch count this weekend, so she will throw a little more than she has thus far (assuming she's feeling good) throughout the weekend.
In the nightcap, Bama beat USF 8-0 in 5 innings, ending it early by scoring 5 in the bottom of the 5th. Salen Hawkins had 3 of Bama's 10 hits at the plate. Moten was once again steller in the circle, going all 5 innings, giving up just 1 hit, 1 walk, and collecting 7 K's. Her season ERA now sits at 0.32.
On Saturday, Bama faces Kent State and then it's a rematch with USF.
