The competition level goes up a bit this weekend when Bama takes on FSU twice at their place in the Dugout Club Classic. It'll be a good measuring stick to see where this Bama team is really at right now... They've navigated a fairly soft early season schedule thus far with relative ease. The Tide will also play Elon twice and Dartmouth once.

3 HRs in the top of the 4th. Bama up 4-0. Moten is looking great so far!

4-0 after 5 innings. Moten has thrown only 55 pitches through 5 innings. Crazy efficient. Only given up 1 hit and it was a bloop infield duck fart that was immediately erased by some heads up play by Young.

Solid up the middle on defense, Moten is rock solid.

Was wondering how they'd do after a half day of waiting around... looks like it didn't bother them in the least. I know most of them are used to it with travel ball and such, but it doesn't make for an ideal routine, especially on the road and going up against a good team like FSU in the late game. But, that's another little sign that maybe this year's team has a good head on it's shoulders.
