I’m impressed with Vic Moten. She’s got the stuff... just needs the experience now.

These Bama hitters have a bit more pop this season, something many of us have been wishing/waiting for. Not a lot of bunts, slaps, bloops, and dribblers. Lot of hard contact. Patient at bats. The overall plan at the plate thus far seems better. Looks like they are doing a better job of taking what is given by the opposing pitcher.

I’m not going to make too much of this series, and they are only barely over halfway through it, but I like the way they are playing out of the gate… hitting, pitching, and defense. Speaking of the defense, if there is another team in the league with better gloves up the middle (and there may be?), I'd love to see them. But UA is in rare air there, and it's gonna keep some opposing runs off the board.

Tomorrow, Bama gets Villanova again and then a rematch with Tech to close out the weekend.

Vic throws a hard drop ball and it was working tonight! Love seeing all the extra base hits. They certainly haven’t faced elite pitching yet but they look strong and confident to start the year to say the least. It was fun to get to be there in person!
