Guys, check this. We're in Oceanside this past weekend (near San Diego) for a mini-vacation. Bamafan4ever and his family had come out so we had decided to head down that way and hit that place for a couple of days.

Well, we get back to where we're staying after being out for most of the day and this guy is coming out of the elevators in the parking garage and he notices Bamafan4ever. Normally Greg is pretty noticeable anyway, but this was because he had a BAMA cap on. The guy at the elevator sees it and asks if we were from Alabama. We answer, "yes" and the guy says something like, "yeah, I had a player go out there and play, but he's transferring now."

We ask the guy who, and he says Prince Hall. The guy was Prince's old high school head (or position coach).

Basically, long story short is that the guy said he hoped Prince could still transfer out and play at a lower level and have an opportunity at the combine next year. He mentioned telling Prince to take his time back in high school because he felt like Prince just jumped on the BAMA offer prematurely, even though (in his words) Pete Carroll was right down the road recruiting him, and he could have stayed home and played.

The coach was upset over Prince's situation (obviously) but had nothing negative to say about the U. He just felt like it was all unfortunate.

He ended the conversation by saying, "I'm still a BAMA fan".
