šŸˆ So.... Do Any Players Sit Out the Bowl Game?

One contract that got nasty was when McElwain left CSU for Florida... Florida agreed to give them 2 home games and I believe CSU made Mac pay 7 figures back over time. Now obviously I'm sure he negotiated that into his salary at Florida, but got messy.
Obviously you're sure "he negotiated that into his salary at Florida?" How so? There is literally nothing that indicates, or even hints, that being included in his salary at Florida. I'd argue there was little that was nasty about the negotiations, but we'll set that aside for the time being.

When Mac was hired at Florida he was getting market value. Just as a comparison, Butch Jones was making 4.1MM+ in 2016. That's 110K less than Mac was receiving at Florida.

FWIW, the progression of coaching pay at Florida has fit with the trend around the nation. It fits with their own trends. When they hired Muschamp in 2011 (with no HC experience) at 2.75MM+. Roughly four years later they hire Mac. In 2017 he was making 4.1MM+ per season. Three years later they hire Mullen at 6.1MM per year.

You're assuming? I'd get that. You think? I'd get that as well. You're sure?

Not directed at u stalker or 334 . Upsetting when people compare war to football and shit on good kids who have sacrificed for this University.
O I forgot.... football more important to u than other committments "good " kids have made... these who chose to sit from any program and so many others really don’t know what a commitment is about..
Really!... if its all about them...sit the fuck out... and as @94 Grad put...some body else will have to and will step up...with where we got ranked....and injuries and sit outs... we aren’t going to be playing a top 10 team anyway....

I'm sure. He wasn't taking the Florida job without a salary that would allow him to pay back CSU comfortably.

Again, he was paid market value. He wasn't taking the Florida job unless he was paid market value.

If what you're suggesting were to be true it would mean Jimmy Sexton allowed a client of his to be hired under market value and under what Florida could, and would, pay. There is nothing to support that in Sexton's history. There's nothing to support that in Florida's history. There's nothing to support that in Jeremy Foley's history.

The assertion it was worked into his contract? There's nothing to back that up. In fact, it flies in the face of every person and component in this story.
All due respect, stalker, but it's a comment that just doesn't make sense.

No that's not what I'm suggesting, at all. You're in left field and I'm not sure why.

Yes I'm asserting he negotiated a deal that would allow him to comfortably pay CSU $2M back. That makes very practical sense.

No that's not what I'm suggesting, at all. You're in left field and I'm not sure why.
Because you're asserting that the 2MM figure was included/considered when his salary/contract was set up by Sexton. That would also mean he was paid below market value if the buyout were included in what he was paid. It doesn't pass the logic test.

Market value, plus monies to pay back the buyout, would lead to a salary above market value. That didn't happen.

Florida, through Foley, did negotiate with CSU to alleviate the burden of the buyout with McElwain. Originally it was due in 30 days. That was renegotiated.
