Barkley would say it had something to do with race I'm sure. I don't think Kansas gave him enough time to do anything though. Two years to completely change systems, recruit players to fit that system, plus win? I don't agree at all with the firing.

I think that was a bit quick. He deserved at least 4 years. He will never have to work again. He had a 5 year 10 million dollar deal. He gets paid 6 million dollars to go away.

He will end up somewhere and do a good job at another mid-major. Heck, I would like to see him at UAB. They are like Ole Miss. Win 6 games a year and go bowling and everybody is happy.

Not sure what Sir Charles thinks about the Turner Gill situation. I agree with RammerJammer that he should have been given at least 1 more year. Lawrence, Kansas is not exactly the hot bed of college football. Gill turned around a morbid program at Buffalo and IMO, needed plenty of time to get a program established at Kansas. In this day and age of win quick, many non name coaches do not get the time they need.
