ok ok sorry about the spelling.. i could not see the play that well. show a little and stop and then start again

I was just playin with you. I could barely tell and honestly don't know if it looked legal.

Supposedly it's not legal. But I've seen it three times and had it run against me once, and the refs always say it's legal.

:?: YOU CAN;T JUST HAVE PEOPLE STANDING AROUND LIKE THAT. YOU MUST HAVE SOME LINEMAN DOWN AND SET BEFORE THE SNAP. AM I RIGHT OR WRONG?

They were set. When the center turns and gives the ball to the QB, it is equal to snapping the ball. Before that happened, the lineman were down and set.

That's the explanation given to me.

Luckily, we had smart guys on our team who walked with the QB, even though he juked them and ran for a 40 yard gain. That was more than half of their total yardage, btw. 8)

Oh yeah. Foley ran a similarish play against Prattville. It was 4th down, 2 or 3 to go. They had their offense on the field, and then ran the offense off the field and ran their punt team on the field, with Julio Jones staying put where he was. They do the setup where the snapper and punter with an upback line up normally and then the rest over to the side of the field. Julio is lined up at the side but behind the rest of the players. The center turns and side snaps it to Julio and Julio took off. Gained 50 or so yards.

It was pretty sneaky.

In 03 or 04 one, I don't remember, my son's pee wee team ran this play once, then the very next week I saw that from an NFL team. Again, I don't remember who was playing, but I was shocked to see it there and to see it work as well.

Demopolis (spelling?) ran this play on us in the state finals, EXCEPT the qb kept running toward the sideline( line of scrimmage) without the ball...direct snap to RB and he passed it to the qb as he ran a go route. Funny thing was as he walked down the line, talking to his wide out and acting like he was changing the play  this was many moons ago. Very well drawn up play.

Yeah I was SLB....confused the crap out of me because the RB was my read on defense and we had not seen them or anyone else run it all year (on game films)

Peyton Manning tried to do that, walk up the line of scrimmage and a direct snap to the RB. Refs called a penalty.

Another Arkansas trick play.
