šŸˆ Sly Croom is now off the hook for, "Most Ridiculous Complaint Ever to the SEC Office"

Well, if any of you know anything about like professionalism and professional complaints you would know that once someone complains about it, Mike Slive has no choice but to act on it. I'm sure he knew about it before the complaint came... Petty things like this have to be acted upon if complained about, but only when complained about.. so like, it wasn't his choice to get mad, I don't imagine.
But you all say "WELL IT HAD TO BE THEM BARNERS!!"... how in heavens name do you know it wasnt a 40 year old bama fan with his 6 year old son in his lap watching it and thinking, "I can't believe my school would be the one to do this." The bball game was like 6 hours after she got off work, I guarantee she was told to wear her uni that day (additionally, it was like 30 degrees in Ttown yesterday so I'm sure she was just strutting around the quad in that short skirt all day huh?) and the girl that bent down in front?? You really think she just happened to do that?

It was trashy of Bama to do that, or to let it happen, enjoyable yes, but trashy still, and once someone complains, Mike Slive has no choice but to act.

#1- Slive didn't even have to take their call, much less act on it. He could have just as easily told them to, "deal with it" and laughed at them, like most folks in his position would have done.

#2- The complaint came from an SEC member institution.

#3- Nobody is denying (that I can tell anyway), that she wasn't there to do what she was doing. They had the same deal going on last year, sans the Cabaret gal. It was just a cute intern doing all the work instead. Hopefully they'll have a Cabaret gal back next year to do it again...

1. No, Slive did have to take the call... that is what I am saying... He doesn't have to act on it until someone complains, you can't just ignore the people that put you in your position. It's like me calling the police to report underage drinking-- it happens all the time and they probably would normally ignore it-- but when i complain about it the police have to respond.

2. Well then that just proves my first point, tho obviously I was wrong about the counter example of the complainer.

3. What I'm saying is that, she was definitely there to do what she was doing, she definitely had ulterior motives in wearing her uniform, and it was a little trashy of Bama to do that. If Auburn had done this it'd be "just another trashy action by the barn, what's new"

We'll agree to disagree, but you aren't even comparing apples to oranges, you're comparing apples to pianos. Their complaint was silly. No rule was broken. And Slive has a history of not acting on things that are 100,000,000x more important than a "fax girl". As for the analogy, it would be more like calling the police and telling them your neighbor is out in her front yard in a mini skirt and it offends you. See if they respond to that.

As for if auburn had done it, if the gal was cute, I'd be all for it. Chances are, I'd have never known about it becasue I don't follow what they do... Their cheerleaders are normally hot though, so I'd have been supportive (not sure if they have a dance team)? Now if LSU had done it with the Golden Girls... Oh baby!

Are you really equating under age drinking to a fax cam girl? As Porter said, try calling the police about something just as silly as that, and see if they take you seriously. Mike Slive didn't have to act on this anymore than the police would have to take my call if I was complaining to them about a guy not wearing matching socks. I also don't see the point of any ulterior motive that a cheerleading squad doesn't have every single game. I just don't see the big deal. Also, please don't assume that if Auburn was doing this we'd be against it. Maybe we just really feel how we feel about it? Is that so bad? Why do you assume everyone has double standards on this?

1. Using this logic the president should personally intervene in the following: traffic tickets, divorce cases, parking tickets, expensive bar tabs, traffic volume. These are things that are written as complaints almost on a daily basis to the president.

2.I am confused as to how this proves your point. You realize that repeating what you said as a counterpoint does not make evidence?

3. Ulterior motives? No, it is fairly clear that she was there to look good in front of a camera. Did she do something to try and convince us it was for a class? " and it was a little trashy of Bama to do that" Are you really this uptight in real life?

I'm assuming Hoos' points in this thread are here just for arguments sake. It seems to me that he's developed a bit of an MO to take the opposite view of the majority while portraying himself as some type of "advocate."

My take on it is this.... It was petty and childish for another school to call and complain. As for the 40 yr old man sitting and watching with his 6 yr old son, his rear should be in school! I listened to the news last night and heard Karle say that the other member school said it was meant to influence recruits! How? I have been a teacher for 17 yrs and even though our students have access to computers, they can't sit at one ALL DAY!! GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!

It's that point right there where Slive should have stopped what he was doing and exercised a small amount of reason/thought.

I glanced at the machine when I saw the link but didn't sit here and watch it. Hell, got a text with every letter so what was the point.

Would a text message from a news organization be considered something that may sway a recruit?

The question is, which one is the now infamous "Black Skirt Girl"?

So having a Crimson Cabaret member was inappropriate on a premium feed, but having a father pimp his kid out to SEC schools is ok? Just so I understand. BTW, how appropriate that the name of the site in question was Fax "Cam"
