Nothing on FS1 gets good ratings but they shelled out a ton of money to get him to jump ship.

I have, after the fact. I had this discussion with an old timer sports editor a few years ago and he pulled up a bunch of his better columns from the 80s. Skip was an award-winning reporter in Dallas in the 70s and 80s. His book on the Dallas Cowboys and the rise of the Jimmy Johnson era/the Herschell Trade/etc. are fantastic. Just shows how far people are willing to go for fame/money.
