Don't try telling this to Jerry Jones. After all, he very well may be the biggest spectacle in the professional football community. (Said with a concerted effort to leave Rex Ryan's weight, media hoopla, and the train wreck ahead for the NY Jets aside.)

Size certainly mattered when the Cowboys facility was constructed. With the football complex spanning some 73 acres it very well may be the biggest venue where the Tide has played football. When you are comparing sizes, that's a statement. Here's a team that's played in marquee locations like the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and most recently in "The Dome" in New Orleans.

Size certainly mattered when they hung the Jumbotron; all 11,520 square feet of it. It's the first thing eyes are drawn to when entering the stadium.

This Saturday night we're talking about a football game; a game that has been described in terms of inches in the past. It's tempting to consider the size of players having a direct influence on Alabama and its fan base having a happy ending. In the end, this game will be determined by far more than size or girth.

It's all about how deep you can go.
