At the end of last week we had some changes done to the server involving the DNS address which was changed with the server maintenance.

IF you're still having issues the first thing I'd recommended is flushing your DNS. That's done through a control prompt on Windows devices and instructions on all your devices can be found with a simple search on the web.

I will notify our server that we still have members having issues. I'll get back to this throughout the morning with updates as they are available.

As a note, I run two separate instances of unbound behind a pihole. Both instances were not resolving a dig request the last time I had issues. Moving to a public DNS using my 4G (all port 53 in my network is forced to PiHole/unbound) I still could not dig it.
Thanks a lot!! I hadn't considered using a groper—that was a good idea.

Then again, I've not experienced any issues on my end leaving me only to send this info to our host.

The only thing that's been changed/updated over the last week is the bbcode media renderer...and I can't see how that would have any bearing on this.

Dns changes take 48 or more hours to propagate through the www. Each isp has to make the changes to their dns tables and some smaller ones don't keep up. Just change your device to Google and test it. 8.8.8.8. As your first dns.
Well aware and that's what I've told those who've asked.

Just change your device to Google and test it. 8.8.8.8. As your first dns.

Folks, that can be found in the developers section on google, I'm sure. I'd look for "Google Public DNS" for search words.

Again, while the change was on our server end how it filters down to your ISP is something we have no control over.

I will caution that newer versions of various browsers have Secure DNS (reportedly enabled by default in some cases). This means any changes to your DNS setting on your device may not carry over to your browser. They generally point to Google. Cloudflare, or Quad9 so it shouldn't be a big issue, unless you are like me and hate Google having more info about you than they already have.

Once you start getting into IoT and things like Home Hubs it gets worse as they flat ignore your DNS settings in many cases unless you force them to behave in your firewall (even then they can go to DoH and you can't stop it).

If your on att and some other ISP's changing your DNS to other than their DNS sometimes will slow down your connection because the route to the other DNS will be more than 100ms. just test by pinging it.

Interesting look at another site on our server.

I will say all the above posts are speaking Physical Chemistry (a class I failed bad)
But Monday on my phone with Safari and tried again on Chrome, I got a server is not responding message. Signal was good and all other websites loaded no prob. Happened the week before too, but good now.
hope that helps.
