I found it interesting that there are a lot of accounts of Mike Slive openly rooting for Michigan to win versus Ohio State. As SEC commish, can you blame him?
What strikes me as interesting here is Slive started his petitions for a move to a playoff system back in 2004 after Auburn was left out. Now, here we sit today with the playoff on the horizon but it's a year late. The team that's likely to get left out? Auburn.
I'd never expect Jay Jacobs to understand timing, but his comment that "It would be "disservice to the nation" if 1-loss Auburn got left out of BCS title game" just seems off. Someone might want to drop him a note to remind him Auburn still has one more game left.
