"Perceived success". 99.... Beat Florida ( ranked at top of charts) twice....once in Gainesville..( first loss in forever there for them)....won SEC....
05.....pretty good team...loss of Pro was dagger....( and so un necessary)....

so...not disagreeing...the staff’s weren’t good...under statement....for sure....

what i think it shows is how great a program like bama is.....
With shit HCs ( I thought the world of MS)...probation...limited quality players....
We still produced with incredible results....rising to top 5 rankings....under both...

I always said any coach should be able to go to Bama and win 8 games and this was before they played the number of games they play now. Of course the dark years made me question that thought a few times.

At Bama a good coach can be great and a great coach can be a legend.
