🧑‍🍳 Shrimp boil day at the house... So the question is: Your top 5 favorite shrimp dishes...

Trying to think of some form of regularly served seafood I don't like... there's variations of stuff like coconut shrimp, even though I like shrimp... I don't really like raw oysters much though I love them cooked other ways... but just an item as a whole? I guess calamari. I can eat it, but I don't care for it at all. I'm sure there's other weird shit out there at some fancier places I wouldn't dare order, but as far as run of the mill seafood joints... that's about it as far as I can think of right now.

Love raw oysters and calamari. Least favorite thing I've tried was sea urchin followed by whale tail. Don't care for lobster and scallops but I can eat them.

I've been thinking about this going on for eight hours now and I still don't have an answer. I've had seafood dishes I didn't like: that always boils down to how it was prepared. Always.

I don't "do" the fancier places that often. As @Krimson likes to say, "tourist traps."

I'll give ya this. Almost any squid based dish is tricky. I had a calamari risotto dish at a small Italian place last year...pretty damn good.

Is it fair to say when it's fresh it always comes down to labor? IE: I like Crab. Sometimes, it's just not worth the hassle. Steamed oysters shouldn't be a bitch to crack.
