I would have expected California to go the other way as well. I think USC benefited a couple of times by not having a championship game. Probably most of the yes voters are ticked off Cal fans who think they would have beaten USC in a re-match in '03 - '05.

Either all should have them, or they should do away with all of them. A championship game usually does more harm than good.
