NFL coaches can't interview if they are in the postseason.

Should college coaches be allowed to interview prior to and during bowl season/playoffs/championship game?

It's restricted but not impermissible as I recall. I believe Patriots and Rams coaches could be interviewed last week, but not this week. There are location stipulations as well.

I'd think we'd see the same backlash in court that we saw when they tried to restrict the amount a coach can earn.

In the NFL after the regular season, what's the hurry? They have the NFL draft in April but that's mainly the GM/owner role. I doubt minicamps are even a concern until the spring. In college, the clock is always ticking.

It would be amazing if Coaches and universities were both forced to finish out the contract they agreed on.... Why not?

They do. Locksley and others got new jobs before the end of their season. I'm sure they interviewed sometime during the process.

Let's say you can change the policy...would you make it to where they can't interview until after their last post season game?

What they have done...how they have done it..And ( these days) where they have done it is all transparent.......any other belief is ridiculous....
And they dont do negotiations, contacts, interest......their agent does...
So, make all rules you want...zeroooooo affect .....
