šŸˆ Sheridan Picks Ole Miss to Beat Bama

This is hard but Danny likes to stir the pot. He always acts like he is just being analytic but the facts are both teams have not played anyone yet. I am banking on Saban & Kiffin to save the day. BAMA 34 Old Siss 9

BAMA ROLLS! The difference will be our offense! Everything I've heard from all of the talking heads is how improved Ole Miss is. The truth is they are unsure what Alabama will look like offensively. I happen to think, that we are going to light their ass up!

personally, i couldn't give less of a sh!t what any of the talking heads say or think about BAMA or whether they'll win or lose or who will beat them on what day or....blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.....

i get so sick of hearing all of them say essentially the same things over and over and over again just so they can get everyone else talking about what they said or why they said it and getting one side or the other in an uproar. their job is to get people talking and most are good at their job. with the exception of a few, the rest are basically scum or some variant thereof.

it doesn't matter what they say or think. all that matters.....all that REALLY matters.....is what Coach Saban thinks or says about the team and whether or not they are ready to play and what the players' mindset is going into the game.

I know I've asked this before, but I'm going to ask it again.

When has Bo Wallace carried the Ole Miss team to a win?

Completely, well, sort of off the subject...same show, same hour, Sheridan was saying "Oregon has a one game schedule in 2014 when it plays UCLA."

I get the point you're getting at with he's not as big of a savior as they like to make of him, but his performance against Texas was pretty good and I feel led to that victory. Now this wasn't a Vince Young or Colt McCoy Texas team, but still. I side more with where i believe you're going, with that he's a decent quarterback with size, but is not someone that carries his team on their back. I see him more of a Phillip Rivers, big attitude and personality, but only half decent when the cameras are rolling on the field.

that was a pretty bad texas team.. Bo has to have a Garcia game for them to win this. Really even more than that because their running game is poor. Without that threat Alabama blankets their receivers and gets 3-4 coverage sacks. Bo may have to carry the team by running for more yards than he throws. I just don't buy the hype. Ole Miss looks very Ole missy. State on the other hand....

@jdpas29 State reminds me of those Virginia Tech teams that used to show up looking like body builders. The whole defense shared about a percent of body fat between them. One of those Va Tech teams played the Tide in a bowl game and showed up with two truck loads of workout equipment for their stay (seems like the game might have been in Nashville - and they weren't using the workout room at the Holiday Inn). They drug us up and down the field all night.

Ole Miss had a great recruiting class in 2013, and several of those guys are difference makers for them now. What I can't get past is that by all the rankings, we had an even better recruiting class than they did in 2013, and we have guys from that class playing meaningful minutes s well. Our classes were considerably better than theirs in 2010, 2011, 2o12 and 2014. The overall talent level isn't even close.

Their defense, as I have said all season is very good. Their offense not so much. I expect that they will be one dimensional very early on. Bo has been effective at times as a runner, but he is no Manziel when it comes to elusiveness or avoiding hard contact. As Terry said, you can't point to a game he has played and say that he won this game for Ole Miss.

As I recall, Ole Miss trailed at halftime and pulled away in the second half due to two things; Jeff Scott rushing the ball and their defense. They, like BYU had done the week previous with Texas, ran the ball down their throat.

I don't recall Wallace throwing any INT's, and it seems like he threw for a couple of TD's and may have ran for a third. However, if I recall this correctly, he didn't throw for more than 175-185 yards in the game. I know they had about 100 more yards on the ground than through the air.

Wallace is their "between the tackles" runner and he ain't Tim Tebow. They will run their jet or fly sweeps with their smaller backs. They abandon the run early in an attempt to keep Wallace in the game. Their OL has been suspect this season to be honest. I see Wallace chucking a few into coverage trying to avoid taking a hit and thus resulting in a couple of picks. Our safeties should have a field day back there.
