If Georgia goes undefeated in the regular season and loses the SECCG, they will still be in the playoffs. Can we beat them twice? Of course, we have to go the rest of regular season without a loss to make it to the SACCCG.

I was thinking about that yesterday. I know the playoff committee isn't the AP, but what if the former stays true to the current poll? Would Bama move up to #3 to avoi...rather set up a Bama/Jawja rematch in the natty? Could Cincinnati take Jawja for a second time?

First playoff rankings
Georgia
Oklahoma
Alabama
Ohio State
Michigan
Cincinnati

My explanation for Cincinnati being so low is that I think their sos will be their downfall

No idea on the final rankings. Oklahoma, Alabama, OSU and Michigan could easily lose another game. What if Ole Miss runs the table and Alabama loses to Georgia in the SEC championship. Cincinnati is not one of the 4 best teams. Neither is Notre Dame, but if Notre Dame runs the table, they will be a 1 loss name brand. Does a 1 loss acc team not named Clemson get in? Wouldn't surprise me to see Oregon lose again.

I just don't see Michigan and OSU making it in. I figure there is enough love for Cincy to make it. There has been a "talking head" MO for years to get a team like this into the national championship hunt. Boise St was their love child for years, and now they look for anyone like Cincy to get in and mess up the apple cart of typical conference teams making it in. If we make it to ATL and play UGA, unless we beat them, I don't think we make it in and that makes the path easier for UM/OSU to make it in, providing OSU beats UM at the end of the season and they both end up with 1 loss.

I think when the first poll comes out with the play off committee, we will have an idea of their thoughts on Cincy and their SOS
