šŸˆ SEC Week 1: Penalty Flags and Game Balls

How about a game ball for the almost 500 yards of offense Alabama had against a good VT defense?

I'm going to publish my entry on the Crimson Tusks Blog on our game review a little later on today.

Don't get me wrong. That was a bright point on Saturday.

But, at the same time, given the position at al.com I can't be "overly pro-Bama." We see too much overt commentary around the media as it is...I can't beotch about it on one end and then do the same thing myself, ya know?

No comment on Florida?

The impression I got from UcheaT's game was it was like a bully beating up on someone's little sister. Thought if really fit with Kitten.

I thought your balance was very good.

If UGA can't score but 10 on Oklahoma State, they won't get any on SC. If SC can't score but 7 on NCSU, they won't get any on UGA. Do we have a 3-0 3OT game looming?

I saw the spread at UGA -7, and I'm good with that.

The thing schizophrenia that UGA OC Bobo had in that game shocked the hell out of me. IF they would have continued with their power running game they would have won that game.

I'm thinking Bobo looked at the play calling chart, saw they had run the ball 10 of their first 13 plays, and decided "we have to throw the ball." Did matter what they were doing was working.

As soon as that was decided, a three and out.

He was determined to be "balanced". UGA had 60 plays. 30 each passing and running.

Hey Terry, that was a super-duper write up. Big props. I really wasn't trying to be critical, but I've been accused of being too critical of Bama in the past, particularly during the reign of stupidity with ol' Coach Holdtherope. I just want to give credit where credit is due. I understand your situation, and I have no such constraints. I'm just tickled with how things look now. I never thought Shula could win consistently. I spotted a loser in Franny early on. I'm surprised now when we don't win. Saban has it all in my book.

Keep up the good work. I love to read your analysis.
