Let 'em ring 'em all they want if results like these continue:

Alabama holds a 73-18-3 lead over Mississippi State in a series that dates back to the 1896 season. Alabama has played more games (94) and has more wins (73) against Mississippi State than any other opponent on record.

My last post on the subject.....but if this was Florida and they showed up at the Georgia Dome with cowbells, people probably wouldn't be quite so quick to just say "its no big deal" and it would be the talk on Finebaum....I would put money on that.

As I recall, gatekeepers at Bryant Denny not only look in bags about to be carried inside, but also reach inside the bags and search for contraband, which could include alcohol or weapons. As a person who will be sitting in the stands, I'm always grateful for this inconvenience and tell the person searching I thank them for looking our for us.

So at Mississippi State, they don't look inside bags or search people. That seems dangerous to me, in this world where terrorists are looking for crowded places to blow up. Apparently they'd rather skirt the rule by doing little to nothing and risk a maniac with a firearm in the stands.

It is interesting that Mr. Nemeth mentioned that their game operations crew is from Birmingham. I think he might have meant that as defensive slap at being questioned on this issue. (How dare you suggest Mississippi State isn't doing all they can to stop illegal noisemaking? After all it's people from Birmingham who are in charge.) But it's also interesting that he used the word "verbiage" in regard to their statement of the illegality of artificial noisemakers. Verbiage means just about what it sounds like it should mean: garbage words. A statement with too many empty words that nobody reads or has any respect for.
