| FTBL SEC Position Rankings: Quarterbacks

IMHO being 'Bama with JPW at this time the best quarterback corp in the SEC west, shows extremely well the mediocre level that there is gonna be in the division next season. Another story is on the east division with Stafford and Tebow on the helm.

RTR,

No slap at JPW, but I didn't realize just how bare the cupboard is on experienced quarterbacks in the SEC west. I wish we played LSU and the barners earlier in the season, while they're still ironing out the kinks with a new qb.

Dont forget we'll be ironing out our kinks as well and the playing field will be a little more even this year.

The question is

how important is a superstar QB to winning in the SEC and BCS? LSU won national titles with Matt Mauck and Matt Flynn. Florida did it with Chris Leak. LSU didn't get there with Russell who was #1 pick in the draft. Play defense and spread it around on offense. That being said, Bama has the best QB situation BY A MILE going in to '08
