With all the millions that the SEC is getting from CBS and ESPN, they need to make a major investment in upgrading the quality of officiating.

agreed, I think the NCAA should have officials and not conference officials. I don't like having ACC,SEC,PAC-10 officials. I think it should just be NCAA officials. They travel anywhere and everywhere.

Yep....the bad calls certainly helped Florida win...wasnt it 25 or 30 yards in penalties...and a new set of downs on each..which is even worse for the opposing team.

I believe that would be giving the NCAA just "that much more control." Not the way to go in my opinion.

I agree that something needs to be done, but nationalizing the refs would be a huge mistake.

I think they need to be held accountable and held to a harsher standard. This stupid SEC office reprimand is a joke. I was livid at the calls/no calls in the UF/Ark game and I couldn't care less who won. The officials from that game and others who make similarly bad calls should be suspended. Instead, they will get off quietly with a "reprimand" and make the same screw ups again. I read somewhere that this was the same crew that screwed the pooch at the UGA/LSU game also.
