Love Coach Nick Saban's comment on being compared to Coach Bear Bryant, he knocked it outta the park.

Q. You've won four national titles now. A lot of people are starting to compare you with Bear Bryant. What does that mean to you?

COACH SABAN: I don't think I have any reason that anybody should do that. I think Bear Bryant is probably the greatest coach in college football in terms of what he accomplished, what his legacy is.

I think the biggest thing that impacts me is how many peoples' lives he affected in a positive way, players that played for him, because they all come back and say how he affected their life. They don't come back and say, we won a championship in '78, '79, '61, whenever it was. They come back and say how he affected their lives. There's a lot of Bear Bryant stories that I've learned a lot from, that have made me a better person. I certainly appreciate that, have a tremendous amount of respect for what he accomplished.

There's no way that we have done anything close to what he's done in terms of his consistency over time, how he changed what he did to impact the times. They threw the ball and won. They ran the wishbone and won. I mean, he changed tremendously to do what he needed to do to be successful. I don't think that it would be fair that anyone really be compared to what he was able to accomplish, the way he did it, and how he impacted other people.

Coach Saban's answer on the Bear question was good, but I think he doesn't give himself enough credit on what he's accomplished in his career especially what he's done while at Alabama. He might not have as many NCs as Coach Bryant, but I am of the opinion that it is much harder to win NCs now than it was during Coach Bryant's days. I also think Coach Saban has affected kids in a positive way from a life skills standpoint.

Also, I'm not surprised that Coach Saban didnt compare himself to Bear because first Saban is pretty humble in what he's accomplished and second he knows comparing himself to Bear would cause a mass uproar in the state of Alabama and cause people to have massive strokes.

Worth mentioning as well, an update from the presser on Robert Foster.

Q. I understand all of your recruiting class is enrolled in summer school except for one guy. Do you have any new information about the status of Robert Foster?

COACH SABAN: Well, you know, we feel like Robert was, by the clearinghouse, the eligibility committee, did not accept one of his classes. They gave him an opportunity to repeat the class. That's what he's in the process of doing. If he repeats the class successfully, he'll be there in the fall.

AJ did extremely well. Coach Saban was his normal self as was Lester Miles.

I wasn't able to catch any of the audio/video of yesterday's circus but did manage to see the last half of CFL. Huard was very complimentary of AJ—almost to the point of gushing over the way he handled himself.

I find it interesting how we've seen story after story linking AJ and Johnny this off-season and then blurbs and reactions to both players how much AJ is the antithesis of Johnny.

Fixed it. Now, I totally agree.
