I want it on local TV vs pay TV.

I'm ok with it staying on CBS, just want a more reasonable contract. CBS has been vastly underpaying for the most viewed games every year.

I like CBS. The local CBS station comes in very good with my OTA antenna, the local ABC, not so much.

I don't like the idea of ESPN/ABC having the big game each week. It would create a monopoly. They already have the SEC Network. Once they have the primo game each week, all SEC games would be televised by an ESPN affiliate. Talk about having fans over a barrel. Cable/Satellite costs are too expensive as it is, they will be just like the cable companies and nickel and dime you to death every 3-4 months on small incremental charges. You'll be paying out the a$$ to watch games.

I would like to see the SEC back on ESPN/ABC like it used to be. It just occurred to me the other day that there has never been an IB on ABC that wasn't in Birmingham. ABC had it from the late 70's until 1987 when it moved to CBS for a few years. Then, in the 1990's ABC had it some, but only when we hosted the game, which was back in the days before we moved our home game in the series to Tuscaloosa. Every other year, when it was in Auburn, ESPN would have it. I'm sick of CBS. The commentary was shit when it was Verne and Gary and it's not much better now. Sadly, there won't ever be another Keith Jackson.

Whoever gets the rights, they will put their top team (who may not be working there currently - if ABC gets it, they could hire Gary) on it. I don't think it's a matter of who should get it. It's a matter of who will pay the value of what they're getting. CBS has been way under paying for years.

I agree. The thought of Douchebag Brando announcing a game pisses me off, just thinking about it.

I wish that CBS would hire Blackledge and put him back with Nessler. Those two were a good pair.

What pisses me the fuck off about the excessive commercials is that they are 65% why most games are over 3 1/2 hours long, yet the powers that be would never dare touch their sacred cash cow.

What get me more boiling mad, is the fact. That sometime before getting back to the game a play has been played! Same with Gary and the others talking about a play. Missing the next play because both have to talk about it. Also the updating the other game, that I don't care about!

Don’t know if you go to games at BD or other places....but they advertise on the ribbon boards...and on the video boards....and over the loud speakers....
Not as bad as TV... and radio broadcast...damn....

Agreed. I’m not a fan of 99% of the ESPN announcers either
