šŸˆ SEC Expansion Question

1. I wouldn't
2. Focus on the SE (Missouri is not in the SE). Take a hard look at Memphis and Florida State. I would say Clemson, but why would they leave a mediocre conference that they can dominate.

gT ...hell no
Tulane...really?????what do theyadd?
Sorry @rick4bama

I-would start with some realignment...
And a 10 game conference schedule...

AU to east.....missouri to west
Now add in fsu....& miami to east...........
And Oklahoma & ok state to west...

No to texas ..... sorry Charlie

Ideally, we would add 4. Adding Clemson, FSU, and Georgia Tech to the East would help fix up rivalry weekend so they were all conference games. Then you could add Texas to the West for A&M. Missouri moves to the West and that solves the team numbers issue. At that point we would have an easier time scheduling the SEC without stepping on rivalries.

But since you only give me two, I say we spread the SEC on out. North Carolina and Virgina.

I'd have to say Clemson and Georgia Tech. Great academics, and very solid sports programs. They fit geographically and would put in place some nice rivalries. Get rid of Missouri if I could in the meantime. Wouldn't hurt my feelings to kick Vanderbilt or Texas A&M to the curb either.

An annual Kentucky vs. North Carolina basketball game (at least one) would be fun.

I wasn't saying add those two. Both couldn't win in the old SEC, so why would they try to come in and win? By the way, Vandy is more in the west that Auburn is!

Add Ga Tech, Va Tech, and North Carolina. Dump Missouri.

Play 10 conference games. Football divisions would be...

West
Alabama
auburn
Arkansas
Ole Miss
Mississippi State
LSU
Texas A&M
Vandy*

East
Georgia
Ga Tech
Florida
Tennessee
Kentucky
Va Tech
South Carolina
North Carolina

*The ONLY reason I don't dump Vandy too is because I like Nashville and they can play baseball... but they are hanging by the thinnest of threads.

They would come in for a big conference revenue share ($$$$$$$). Vandy gets one. Arkansas gets one. You don’t have to compete for championships to get paid well in the SEC.

For me it’s Clemson and Florida State. Competition, natural rivalries within the conference, tradition, and generally ā€œfitā€ culturally speaking.

The people making these decisions seem more concerned with spreading the footprint of the conference. Missouri is a perfect example of this. Other than being a ā€œnewā€ market, Missouri brings very little excitement to the table. I have zero interest in traveling to a game in Missouri.

GT left the SEC because they couldn't win the SEC! F$U had a chance to come into the SEC, but high tail it to the ACC because Bobby knew he could win more in the ACC. How many time did he win the ACC title after going into the ACC?
I do like the other ones you have listed. I still don't know which team I would have a change to come into the SEC? Also on Vandy let not forget that Vandy won the very first SEC title in bowing!! :ROFLMAO: The only reason I know this and you guys should also, is it was on the SEC Network. commercials.

IMO, if they belong in our fight song, they belong on our league again. And while Atlanta is tuning into more of a shithole by the day, they still have The Varsity which makes for the prefect gameday lunch stop on road trips to see Bama throttle them.
