Visited relatives(aunt & uncle) in Raton a few years back, stayed a week and played a lot of golf. Trinidad Co. (just across the state line) has arguably one of the prettiest 9 hole golf courses you'll ever see.

Philmont Scout Ranch is pretty dang nice. All kinds a of trails & elevation changes that really torque the outdoor experience. Quite a unique experience.

Oh, & really BIG Bass Pro store in Albuquerque.

There is a ton of history there including beautiful old and ancient architecture, homes churches and government buildings. My favorite places I have visited there are Santa Fe, Taos and Albuquerque, where my brother and his family lives. The ancient Taos Indian Pueblo is very impressive and indigenous people still live there today. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
