Tough.... Lost our German Shepherd a few years back and our "Black Panther" a little over a year ago. Don't think we'll ever get another pet, definitely a rough time for sure.

Love German shepherds. Great dogs. Sorry for your loss. We still have a cat, FishStyx. We will get another Basset, just need to wait a few months.

I know how you feel, OP. Losing a pet always sucks.

If I get another dog (have had cats the past couple/3 decades), I'd like to get either a German Shepard or a Doberman.

Hate to hear that. Condolences. My daddy had a chihuahua that he called my brother. When that dog passed, my daddy cried like a baby.
