🏈 Saban's favorite team/player(s)?

I remember Saban saying his favorite team was the 2015 championship-winning crew, but his reaction to #17 seemed so much more .. intense? I don't know.

But it got me wondering who YOU think his favorite team/player(s) are?

I always felt like Derrick Henry was up there.

I have to think Julio is one of his all-time favorites. When Julio signed and then stepped on campus...the rest is wonderful history!

I remember Marty Smith talking in an interview about the 10 year anniversary where all the players came back and had a luncheon with Saban. They all chipped in an bought him a golf bag and clubs.

Marty was there and said different players spoke and said for a second he thought Saban almost got choked up. Said that Dre Kirkpatrick talked about how Saban rode him and harped on him about doing the right thing and self motivation. All the attributes needed to be successful in life. Dre went on to say that he finally understood it his rookie season at Cincy. Said he was super thankful to have been coached by CNS and that he is not only successful in football, but will be successful as a person because of having came to Alabama.

We have all heard Saban say that, this, is what he wants from his players. To be prepared for life and be successful, productive members of society for having been associated with the University of Alabama. I think this means more to Saban than folks realize.

Said all that to say.....Dre. I think is one of his favorites.

I can't think that @PhillyGirl would not talk about this guy. Him being and all time favorite player. But I think he would be one of Coach Saban favor and that would be Jones.
