🏈 Saban to Penn State?

That is the talk around Baton Rouge. Anybody hearing that in Bama?

Here's a bit of a rant...

You guys said...

Never have a top recruiting class...

Never win a Championship...

He will be gone in a few years...

There's no way anyone repeats what Bama did in the 70's...

WAIT.

There's no way anyone repeats what Bama did in the 70's...

Some of the LSU fans are plain and simple: C-L-U-E-L-E-S-S

There's no way anyone repeats what Bama did in the 70's...

YET...

LSU wins out and they are almost...right there.

I may be wrong but I think Tuscaloosa will be Coach Saban's last stop in the coaching profession. I dont say that to demean PSU and its coaching position at all. Why would CNS go to PS? Not a real good reason IMO.

this part, I agree with but...

To do something no other coach has done: win a BCS championship at three different schools.

Then there's the point that he's originally from that part of the country but I don't know if he feels pulled in that way or not.

Now, having said that I see the first point above - he's not going.

There's a lot of talk about Urban Meyer. He'd be a good fit, but I don't know if UM is ready to get back on the horse yet ... or at all. If he did the Big10 (or any other conference for that matter) would be a lot less stressful than the SEC.

I take issue with these points.
No coach has won NCs at any two, so when he was eager to leave Miami every school in America offered him that chance but for LSU. Three NCs at three schools was an option last year, but again he chose Bama.
Urban Meyers, with his averaging three arrested players a year over his tenure at Florida, is not the guy to fill in for JoePa.

Penn State could be looking at someone with a cleaner image, like Lou Holtz.

There were only three schools Saban said he'd consider when the idea of leaving the NFL was being tossed around. All three in the SEC.

I HOPE TO GOD you're being sarcastic here.

I know I am not the smartest guy here and I know I get things wrong. But I believe that no coach worth his salt will go to Penn state till they have an AD. The AD is usually hired by the President. I think PS will be a while getting around to hiring a coach. BOT has a lot of problems. I think football coach is a little down the list right now.

The rumor I am hearing is:</SPAN>
Lou </SPAN>Holz </SPAN>will be President</SPAN>
Urban Meyers </SPAN>will be AD</SPAN>
Mike Dubose will be coach.</SPAN>
