A buddy told me that since Saban went to LSU, every recruiting class he'd signed had been part of a national championship. His last class at LSU won under Miles. I thought about a bit and I think he's right. With us winning in 2009, that captured the 07-09 classes, 11 and 12 covered the 10-12 classes, and 15 takes care of 13-15.

Amazing.

There was a Built by Bama tweet that went out a few days ago from the athletic department mentioning that very thing (sans the LSU recruits.)

His first recruiting class at LSU was in the spring of 2000, so there's a chance one of the kids signed in that first class played in '00-'02 and hit the draft I suppose ...

More impressive is that out of the 9 years he has coached, he's won 4 titles... on average he wins the NC every other year... it is truely amazong.

Really when you look at it closer... 2007 was his first year, 2010 we blew against LSU and Auburn; however, in 2008 we played in teh SECC undefeated needing only a win to play for the NC, in 2013 we finished 3rd in the final BCS poll behind FSU and Auburn, In 2014 we went to the playoffs but lost in the 1st round. So... of all the years Saban has coached Bama, There were only two years we were not in the discussion. That's Impressive...!!!
