🏈 Saban confirms Jerrell Harris back for SC game...

Koz, I think we talked about this a while back and there was mention that Harris might not have been forthcoming about the laptop in the beginning. The NCAA probably gave a set # and then CNS gave his own above the NCAA to get his point across that he isn't screwing around when the NCAA is concerned.

That's my speculation as well.

I understood UA applied for a number, it was denied and the NCAA passed down their ruling. UA accepted that.

Jerrell was going to be suspended with or without the laptop incident. That was already set.

So, it's my thought...and this is just a guess...The NCAA suspended him for four games. After this Saturday's game, he was reinstated and that's the word UA received. But, he's still got his suspension for other matters to serve.

I say that based on putting several things together. Just an educated guess, in other words.

That's what I was thinking you had said on here before Terry in regards to Harris and his suspension. I think CNS knows he has the ship sailing in the right direction as long as he doesn't have the NCAA to dodge because of some "stupid" incidents.

Do you guys think that he immediately steps up and starts against SC? I am sure the final decision will be based on his performance on the practice field up until that time.

No, I don't.

He'll need to be working with the 1's to take that spot, and the staff isn't going to start doing that now in preparation for a game that's almost three weeks down the road.

Saban used the term, "we aren't going to rob Peter to pay Paul" when asked the same question.

Off what I've seen and heard I don't think we'd sit Upshaw to play Harris at this point anyway. There may even be other linebackers besides Upshaw higher up in the scheme of things than Harris.
