šŸˆ Saban and other high dollar coaches potentially off the table for Texas

While there were issues with CC and some members here I can assure you he loves Bama. I've been familiar with him far too long to doubt that.

This guys IP tracks back to Austin and I really doubt we'd have some Auburn fan changing to a proxy to register.

I don't even know who CC is. Everything I have posted is my own opinion and I have openly been upfront with my background as a Texas Longhorn Alumnus and fan. I don't quite understand the patriarchal angst and need to call names, put down, and insult others, namely me, for opinions different from the herd.

I have joined this forum within the past month and have been accused of being a troll and all sorts of other things. Now, the Internet sleuths are claiming that I am an Auburn fan, who it appears was not popular with the crowd here. Come on. I understand my opinion goes against the grain here, but there are about 50 other posts on the first page. If a moderator feels like there doesn't need to be another Saban or Texas post on here, then I will be happy to delete it.

First, your welcome here, you have to know if ya keep telling Bama fans that Saban may be going to Texas, (you being a Texas Fan) on a Bama board, that your gonna get railed . I personally dont think your trolling anymore, but your stirring the pot. I dont mind it really, cause it makes for some entertainment others are growing tired of it. If you are here to stay and just want to hang out with us, I would feel in time all the crap will settle down. Either way, have fun with what ever your accomplishing and I hope that your just trying to be informing and not some bozo getting his jolly's out of inciting some Bama fans. Cause the members here are not stupid, nor will they be drawn into BS. Just my 2 cents.

What everyone is basically trying to tell you is that you are Auburn with money. After the 09 whoopin I have enjoyed watching you wallow in mediocrity. Some of the absolute worst fans that I have ran across on the internet. So much like Auburn that it's like walking around in Bizzarro world of the old Superman comics that I read as a kid. I actually expect to hear some of you holler "War Damn Cow" any minute now.

Damn. That's harsh. Thought provoking, but harsh.

Think on this for a minute. When we were a program mired in mediocrity a lot of Bama fans would respond to provocation with "look at the number of trophies."

Texas, in the same shoes we were, says "look at the bank account."

B1G fans, mired in the same mud, say, "oversigning" or something equally as poor as "look at our academics."

In the end, is one better than the other? To me it's the same thing—fans looking for something to hold onto.

What was the line Barney Frank used a few years ago? Something along the lines of "talking with you is like arguing with a dinner table?"

It's that way with some here, it's that way with some everywhere.

This entire story has been fascinating for me to watch. But then I've always enjoyed watching the origin of a story and how it grows. This is a great example.

This weekend I've found myself thinking about a phrase, "Even a dog would have learned the first time."

When the original story about this broke—I'm talking about this fall, not when Saban told boosters about this in the winter (Jan-Feb)—there were many holes. What struck me as fascinating was the one key phrase that gave it the legs to go nationwide quickly—"...as confirmed by ESPN radio."

In the end, just like in the beginning, that confirmation was an afternoon drive time show on the radio in Austin which happened to be an affiliate of ESPN. Huge difference; seemingly ignored.

So many more holes...police escorting Terry Saban around Austin and then a day later the police deny the report...Terry being at a funeral in Florida when all of these happenings were supposedly taking place.

When the original story falls apart...seems people would be skeptical of anything else. However, asking a football fan to be logical about his own program? Those fans are few and far between.
