🏈 RTB Staff: What content will we see this season?

Team previews, trickle down, etc? What are your ideas? How can we contribute?

Still chewing on previews.

I'm thinking a main thread, call it pre-game thread, that features the preview, uses the sportsbook as a base for the points surrounding those previews and then hoping you guys will add other previews, links, etc., into that pre-game thread.

There are still nooks and crannies here that the framework has been built but it's not been "launched" yet. One of those will be centered on game threads. I envision a live hub of information. The thread itself (as will the other games threads) be live—as in no need to refresh to see new posts operating like a chat room but inside of a central thread. Scores, highlights, stats, etc. will be fed into that thread. I'm pretty sure I know how to do it...but, I expect a bump or two in getting it to work. We'll know Thursday night, next week, with the launch of the SECN's games.

I've not talked with @bigfan in quite some time so I don't know if we'll have a trickle down post. The last I heard he was preparing to move from China.

Bottom line...as we get started it'll be focused on the game day itself. IF this works like I think it will there won't be another forum in the Alabama community that offers this...doubt there will be on in the SEC for that matter.

Something that I enjoyed on a former Bama board was adding my take on ranking (weekly) the SEC teams and a commentary on the upcoming SEC games. It was somewhat fun. Feedback was always welcome (and it was always civil - afterall, we're all "family.")

I think we usually post the latest overall rankings, but it would definitely be cool to have one just for the SEC. I also enjoy posting "predictions" for each week's games (with a focus on SEC games of course)!

That would be cool too. I'm in an Eagles group and we do those for various NFL games every week during the season.

A few years back I did a weekly pick of SEC games and a big national game. Some of you may remember PJ's Picks. Work demands cut into my time too much and I had to stop, but being retired now, I will resume that, starting next week. I will put up predictions for next week's SEC games, plus one national game of interest. I would appreciate your thoughts on the national game for week one.
