It was good to see Ronnie Harrison grow up and play smart against UT. Against OM and Arky he was lost and got beat. Against UT he read his keys, kept his cool, and played his position. He showed a lot of maturity and poise last Saturday and I hope he continues that going forward. I have felt form the beginning of the season that he was the weak link in the secondary, and I'm glad he is making good progress. If he continues to play well this secondary could finally live up to their pre-season hype. And all of the secondary played much better Saturday. Those rare times when Dobbs did have time to throw he really didn't have anyone to throw to. I can only remember a few times when his receivers were actually wide open.

I've always thought Ronnie Harrison was a work in progress and he makes you hold your breath at times. Given his youth and playing right out of the box, the coaches were more than willing to live with him. He's a big safety that can really help out with the run protection. On the safety position, I think I'm pleasantly surprised with Hootie Jones as well. He's earning his stripes a little at a time.

And lastly, just disappointed in Tony Brown or lack thereof. I like Tony, don't ask me to quantify, but I like Tony and I love to watch his physicality at the position and his speed on the back end is spectacular. I'll take him at the corner in the nickel and straight up at Safety, any ole time. Can I say that again? I like Tony.

I think you can. I too enjoy watching him on kick off he does get to the ball carry fast. He a head hunter. I just HOPE HIS HEAD IS ON STRAIGHT NOW!! In the LSU game last year he show what he could do.

I too like Tony Brown. When he was recruited I had visions of him and Marlon being two shutdown corners. If TB can ever get out of the doghouse he would be unstoppable. But his biggest enemy is himself.

Ronnie reminds me a little of a more athletic but lesser cover skilled version of Robert Lester. Run stopping and laying a lick are strong points. Hasn't come on as strong or as quickly as Lester did his soph year in coverage but I think the potential is there. He did look better against the pukes and he outran Eli's ability to talk on the pick six

Our secondary does need some work but if you go back and watch some games the ball was perfectly thrown and they couldn't have stopped the catch unless they were in the receivers embrace or else a pass interference call. So, yes they have some work to do but jus keep practicing and learn from the coach.
